Celestun on the boat with beach break
Ready for a day full of nature, local flavors, and pink flamingos?
We’ll pick you up in Mérida and head to the peaceful fishing village of Celestún. There, a local boat captain will take us on a ride on the Ría Celestún, where flamingos and other birds gather. We will pass a mangrove tunnel and explore Ojo de Agua - a natural pool in the jungle filled with underground water.
After the boat tour, we’ll relax at the beach and share a traditional Mayan snack called sikil pak, freshly prepared with roasted pumpkin seeds and local spices. Lunch is simple, local, and always tasty — usually fresh fish or seafood, right by the sea. Vegetarian and vegan options available!
