Visit old hacienda with yellow city of Izamal and swim in the cenote
This private tour combines history, local atmosphere, and time to relax, following a route that works naturally as a full day from Mérida.
We begin at Hacienda Aké, a former henequen estate where you can understand how the “green gold” once shaped the region. From there, we continue to Izamal, known as the Yellow City for its warm tones and calm, timeless feel. Here, we walk through the town together, visit the convent, and make our way up the Kinich Kakmó pyramid for views over the rooftops.
The day usually includes a stop for lunch at a local restaurant with traditional Yucatecan food, and finishes with a cenote — a refreshing way to enjoy the natural side of the region before heading back.
