Ecotourism and history break on the north of Yucatan
We’ll start the day at the pink salt flats of Xtampú, a beautiful spot where we can take a walk, enjoy the colors, and maybe spot some wildlife. Then we’ll head to the ruins of Xcambó, once an important Mayan port, and explore what’s left of this ancient place.
After that, we’ll visit the village of Dzemul, where we’ll stop by a traditional Mayan home. Here, we can cook a simple, tasty meal together and share some time with the family.

Tour Itinerary
9:00 AM: Pick-up from your hotel in Merida
10:00 AM: Exploring Salinera Xtampú, explanation of the salt mining in Yucatán. We will also check around if possible to spot flamingos.
11:00 AM: Moving to nearby archeologic site Xcambó. Guided tour in the sight, exploring and optional climbing on the Mayan temples.
12:30 PM: Leaving for Dzemul, visiting local church and Mayan family living in the traditional house, cooking traditional meal with them.
16:00 PM: Arrival back to Mérida.
