Terms & Conditions
At Yucango, we aim to create memorable and authentic travel experiences across Yucatán. To keep everything clear and transparent, please review our Terms & Conditions before booking your tour.
Booking & Payment
-
A deposit is required to confirm any tour booking.
-
The deposit amount ranges between 20% and 40% of the total tour price, depending on the itinerary, duration, season, and level of customization.
-
All deposits are non-refundable, as they cover planning time, itinerary design, administrative work, and the reservation of tour dates.
-
All deposits and remaining balance payments must be received in Mexican pesos (MXN) - unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing.
-
Guests are responsible for any currency conversion or transfer fees charged by their bank or payment provider. Yucango must receive the full deposit amount as stated at the time of booking.
Remaining Balance - Day Tours
-
For single-day tours, the full tour amount is due latest 24h before the tour starts, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Remaining Balance - Multi-Day Tours
-
For multi-day tours booked in advance, the full tour balance must be paid between 14 days and 30 days before the tour start date, depending on the itinerary and services included.
-
The exact payment schedule and final balance due date will be clearly communicated and confirmed in writing at the time of booking.
-
Because all multi-day tours are custom-made, additional or staged payments may be required before the final balance due date in order to cover third-party expenses such as transportation, guides, entrance fees, or special activities. Any such payments, including amounts and deadlines, will be communicated in advance and confirmed in writing.
-
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the above payment terms apply.
Cancellations & Refunds
Deposits
-
All deposits are non-refundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation.
Multi-Day Tours
-
Due to the custom-made nature of our multi-day tours, refunds are based on the time of cancellation relative to the tour start date:
-
More than 30 days before the tour start date = Refund of amounts paid minus the non-refundable deposit
-
30 days or less before the tour start date = Refund of 50% of the total tour price
-
Less than 15 days before the tour start date, no-show, or early departure = No refund
Fully Paid Tours
-
If a tour has already been paid in full, the above cancellation and refund policy still applies.
Payment in full does not affect refund eligibility, which is determined solely by the cancellation date.
Discretionary Exceptions
-
In exceptional cases, and at our sole discretion, we may offer a partial refund or future tour credit.
-
Any such exception is voluntary, decided on a case-by-case basis and does not set a precedent for future bookings.
Cancellations by Yucango
-
If Yucango must cancel your tour due to extreme weather, safety concerns, or other unforeseen issues, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid, including the deposit, or the option to reschedule the tour.
Safety, Insurance & Liability
-
Please inform us in advance of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary requirements so we can accommodate you as best as possible.
-
Participation in activities (such as swimming in cenotes) is at your own risk. Guests must follow the safety instructions of their guide at all times.
-
Yucango does not provide personal or travel insurance. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance before your trip to cover unexpected events.
-
Yucango is not responsible for lost or damaged personal belongings during the tour.
-
We are not liable for accidents, delays, changes, or disruptions caused by third parties (such as cenotes, transportation providers, or restaurants), weather conditions, or circumstances beyond our control.
-
By booking a tour, you agree to accept personal responsibility for your participation in all activities.
Flexibility & Itinerary Changes
-
As a flexible agency, we are happy to adjust the itinerary upon request, provided that any changes remain within the price range of the original tour or are agreed upon in advance.
-
In some cases, changes may be necessary due to weather conditions, closures, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such situations, Yucango reserves the right to adapt the itinerary to ensure the tour remains safe, smooth, and enjoyable, always aiming to provide an equal or better experience.
-
Entrance fees for archaeological sites are regulated by the Mexican government and may occasionally change. For bookings made well in advance or for tours taking place in a future year, any government-mandated increase may result in an additional entrance fee. We will always communicate such changes as soon as possible.
